How to reach Xylokastro and the wedding weekend.
Xylokastro is a beautiful coastal town with easy access from Athens and a relaxed pace for a summer escape.
For those flying in, Athens Airport is the closest major airport, approximately 1.5 hours away by car. There is also a very good train service from the airport to Kiato, a neighboring town, which makes it convenient to continue onward by taxi or rental car.
If you are planning to drive, the route is straightforward and scenic, and it is a lovely way to arrive at the coast.
